About Karah

Karah Goldstein is a mental health counselor with her limited permit, currently working towards her full license. She earned her Master of Arts in Forensic Mental Health Counseling from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in December 2025, and is currently practicing under the supervision of Dr. Webb Garrison.

While working towards her Master’s at John Jay, Karah completed her externship hours here at the Institute of Psychological Resilience under Dr. Robert Goldman. During her externship hours, she gained experience working with clients experiencing psychological challenges including, but not limited to: anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, trauma, workplace stress, and grief.

Karah’s therapeutic process involves an integration of several evidence-based therapeutic interventions. She utilizes a client-centered approach, integrating practices such as CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and Psychodynamic Therapy. Karah is astute at identifying the unhelpful thought patterns that keep us stuck and prevent us from living our best lives. She is dedicated to challenging those habits and replacing them with new ones that facilitate personal growth.
